Dr. Michael Bloom is a senior partner at Ross Eyecare Group and has been practicing full-scope optometry at Ross Eyecare since 1991. Dr. Bloom built his practice through word-of-mouth referrals from both satisfied patients and prominent medical practices in the Atlanta area alike. Dr. Bloom has extensive experience co-managing LASIK surgery, as well as cataract surgery and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. He was an affiliate doctor of the Emory Vision Correction Center and has appeared on CNN and local news stations as an eye care expert.
Dr. Bloom graduated from the University of Georgia in 1983 and spent three subsequent years doing medical research at Emory University, Department of Pharmacology. He received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1991 from the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Optometry.
Dr. Bloom has participated in clinical studies for contact lenses and pharmaceuticals and served as a clinical examiner for the State Board of Optometry and on the Georgia Optometric Association Board of Trustees. Along with his wife Ansley and their two daughters, Dr. Bloom lives in Dunwoody and enjoys boating, biking and really cool sunglasses.
